Blue Like An Orange Sustainable Capital (BLAO) is a Washington DC-based fund dedicated to placing investments in companies in emerging markets that support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Through its investments, BLAO supports the growth of companies in LATAM and achieves a positive impact on the community and the environment.
BLAO had the need to understand in detail the Mexican healthcare system and certain market niches. This was accomplished through a market study and research project, which yielded findings that allowed us to explain the dynamics of market supply and demand, market size, and understand trends and niche expectations for the future.
The project supported BLAO in analyzing a specific investment opportunity, resulting in the placement of $150 million pesos (MXN) in a chain of private clinics operating in over 9 cities in Mexico. This chain supports UN Sustainable Development Goal 3, focused on ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all ages of the Mexican population.
